Emergency surgery has the potential to add excitement to the day but often correlates with unstable patients or patients who require intensive care. This seminar focuses on commonly encountered emergency surgeries and trauma patient care, including those with wounds. The seminar reviews fluid resuscitation and stabilization, pain management, anesthesia considerations, and current recommendations for several different surgical scenarios.
