This lecture explores advancements in staging and treatment of canine thyroid and parathyroid disease. Discussion includes recently described lymph node staging and extirpation strategies for thyroid tumors. This lecture also reviews reported intraoperative techniques to identify the abnormal gland(s) in parathyroid disease. This lecture also provides recent literature updates and correlations in human counterparts.
