Associate Director, Education and Research

Dr. Morello received her DVM from Cornell University and completed a large animal surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. After over a decade in academia, she joined the AVMA where she is the Associate Director of Education and Research, providing primary staff support for the AVMA Council on Education for accreditation of veterianry educational programs in the US, Canada, and abroad. She has published and lectured nationally and internationally on clinical research and organizational topics including demographics, career pipelines, compensation, faculty, and work-life integration with a goal of directing data-driven strategy for leaders. She has served as Assistant Director of Continuing Education for the ACVS, on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Veterinary Leadership Development Initiative, as an advisor to blendVET, and as a faculty member of AOVet where she led a global analysis of organizational demographics and climate to help launch the international AO Access program. She currently holds a Courtesy Associate Professor title with the Cornell Center for Veterinary Business and Entrepreneurship and serves on the President’s Council of Cornell Women.
