Dr. Schiller is a board-certified small animal surgeon, residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Schiller divides her professional working time between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - University of Calgary, where she is currently a sessional instructor, the VCA Western Specialty and Emergency Center in Calgary where she provides referral surgical procedures and the Movora corporation where she is a Scientific Advisory Board Member and small animal surgery instructor for a variety of CE workshop topics. She has extensive experience in veterinary orthopedics with expertise in companion animal total hip replacement. During her surgical residency at NCSU Dr. Schiller aided Dr. Dave DeYoung in the early research exploring the use and development of cementless THR for canine patients. This work has shaped the THR procedures that are currently performed today. A passionate teacher, she has been involved with BioMedtrix and the evolution of the BFX THR procedure since 2003 and is heavily involved in the education of surgeons looking to learn the THR procedure through BioMedtrix and Movora.
