Kristal Turner, DVM, CCRT, CVA, is residency-trained in veterinary sports medicine and rehabilitation and plans to sit for boards through the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in February 2026.
She holds certifications in veterinary acupuncture (Chi Institute) and canine rehabilitation (Canine Rehabilitation Institute) and completed advanced training under Drs. Sherman and Debra Canapp at Canapp Sports Medicine.
After graduating at the top of her class from Ross University in 2012, Dr. Turner completed a one year small animal rotating internship at Auburn University. She went on to spend ten years at Animalia Health & Wellness in Franklin, TN, where she developed and launched the
practice’s rehabilitation service.
In 2023, Dr. Turner founded mOcean mobility + wellness for animals, a small animal rehabilitation practice in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Her clinical focus includes the diagnosis and management of orthopedic and myofascial conditions, with particular interest in musculoskeletal
ultrasound and regenerative medicine.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys surfing, Pilates, and raising two young boys (and two dogs) alongside her husband on the Florida coast.
