Kaitlyn L. Moss, VMD, is a Veterinary Surgery Resident at MedVet Mandeville.
Dr. Moss earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Villanova University. She then received a degree in education from John Hopkins University, she was a teacher for five years while gaining science credits from the University of Maryland Pre-veterinary, Post Baccalaureate program. Dr. Moss then earned a Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Following earning her veterinary degree, she completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship and a veterinary surgery internship at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital. She completed a surgery internship at MedVet New Orleans. Dr. Moss has been the recipient of numerous merit awards and contributed to the veterinary community through various articles and publications.
During her training, Dr. Moss developed a special interest in small animal surgery, soft tissue repair, and orthopedics with a focus on advanced wound management and research surrounding this topic. She is also passionate about pain management and its critical role in patient care. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is solving problems for both patients and their families.
