Alison Billas, VMD, DACVS (Small Animal) is a small animal soft tissue and orthopedic surgeon at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington D.C. She completed her surgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to this, she completed a one year rotating internship at the University of Georgia where she performed research on surgical site infections following canine limb amputations. Alison attended the University of Pennsylvania for veterinary school. She received her undergraduate degree in animal behavior with an honors thesis on primate cognition at Bucknell University. Alison's current research focuses on outcomes following ureteral reimplantation in feline patients.
