Dr. Troncy is Professor and Director of the Research Group in Animal Pharmacology of Quebec (GREPAQ) at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Université de Montréal (QC, Canada).
Laureate of the National-Veterinary-School-of-Lyon (France) in 1992, he completed an Internship in Small Animal (NVSL, France, 1993), a Master-ès-Sciences (1994), an Anaesthesiology Residency (1998), a Ph.D. at the Université-de-Montréal in biomedical sciences (1999), and an University Doctorate in Pharmacology/-chemistry (2001) at the Louis-Pasteur University-of-Strasbourg (France). He is a renowned member of the scientific veterinary community for his work on animal welfare, human-animal bond, pain metrology and its management. His track record includes 106 graduate students supervision, 236 peer-reviewed research articles, 25 continuing education publications, 188 guest presentations and 306 scientific abstracts.
