Dr. Watkins is a professor of equine surgery in the Department of Veterinary Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University. He has focused his practice on equine orthopedic surgery for more than 30 years. He has authored and co-authored numerous publications, textbook chapters, and web-based content and has presented lectures in the USA, Central America, South America, and Europe on various subjects in equine orthopedics. In addition to the ACVS, he is a member of AAEP, VOS and AOVET. He is currently chairman of AOVET international.
