Rachel Butler, DVM (she/her/hers)

Equine Surgery Resident
University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

Rachel Butler is a native of Upper Arlington, OH. She received her B.S. in Biological Sciences in 2012 from Ohio State University. She then attended Mississippi State University from 2013-2016 for post-baccalaureate class work. Rachel received her DVM from Michigan State University in 2020. After vet school, she completed 3 internships (Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital- Saratoga 2020-2021, Kentucky Equine Hospital 2021-2022, and Iowa State University 2022-2023) and a research fellowship (CORL, University of Pennsylvania 2023-2024). She is currently a second-year equine surgery resident and MS student at University of Illinois.
