Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology

Dr. Griffin obtained her veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis. She then completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania, small animal surgical residency at UC Davis, and surgical oncology fellowship at Colorado State University. She served as an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgical Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania from 2021-2024. She then pursued an ACVS fellowship in minimally invasive surgery (small animal soft tissue) at Cornell University, where she served as a visiting surgeon within the Soft Tissue Surgery service. Following this fellowship, Dr. Griffin returned to Colorado State University for a position as an Assistant Professor of Surgical Oncology within the Flint Animal Cancer Center. Dr. Griffin currently serves on the executive committees of the Veterinary Society of Surgical Oncology and the Veterinary Cancer Society. Her clinical research is focused on the assessment of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within surgical oncology, novel imaging techniques to enhance neoplastic disease localization and excision, and interventional oncology.
